Aviv De Morgan
Scientific Project Manager
Aviv joined Genevia after a career as a scientist in academia and as a bioinformatics team leader in the biotech industry. Over these years, he focused on cancer genomics, biomarker and target discovery, and cancer immunology, always with a "do good" approach in mind: use your knowledge for the benefit of humankind (and why not cure fatal diseases?).
Aviv is experienced in analyzing a wide range of datasets, including whole-genome, whole-exome, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, and single-cell data. In addition to NGS data, Aviv also analyzes clinical patient data, leveraging machine learning to assist doctors and other healthcare professionals in clinical decision-making.
Fluent in the languages of both wet-lab and computational biology, Aviv is always eager to meet scientists, clinicians, and industry personnel, and to solve complex, diverse problems. In his (very limited) spare time, Aviv is a proud father of three adorable girls, who are always eager to tell their friends that their father is a scientist and knows a lot about almost everything. Kids and their imagination, you know...
