Alastair Maxwell joins Genevia's technology team

The newest member of our team at Genevia Technologies is Alastair, who has joined us after working at The University of Glasgow. He has spent the last 5 years working on Huntington Disease and other genetic disorders and is excited to start working across multiple fields of scientific research with us. His background in biological and computational sciences make him a perfect match for Genevia!

During his previous work, Alastair was heavily involved in academic research for multiple genetic disorders surrounding DNA repeats and the associated computational challenges such diseases provide. A varied background helped Alastair excel in this position, from biological experimental design to writing portable code, to managing Linux high performance server nodes for effective data analysis. His skills provide a strong ability to communicate complex biological problems in a clear manner.

During his Master’s degree, he had a chance to study in tandem at Keio University in Japan, providing him with an excuse to eat more Japanese food than thought possible, while developing his research skills in a new cultural environment.

We are looking forward to Alastair bringing his variety of skills and experience to assist Genevia in providing even more robust services for our clients.
