Reija Hieta

Senior Bioinformatician

OUR BIOLOGY EXPERT, Reija had significant experience in molecular biology research and drug discovery before becoming a scientific database curator for EMBL - European Bioinformatics Institute in Cambridge, UK. Her work with biological databases made her realize that she could work much more efficiently with a fluent understanding of computers and programming. She decided to complete her training with a degree in bioinformatics, and today she is proficient in several wet lab techniques as well as computational biology. Besides her day-to-day work on our data analysis projects, whenever there is a tricky question about molecular biology, Reija will help the rest of the team to find the answer.
