Problem
A Danish pharmaceutical company, Epitherapeutics, had developed a promising novel, epigenetically-functioning cancer drug. Its molecular mechanism of action needed to be elucidated
Solution
Using RNA-sequencing data from cancer cell lines treated with the drug alongside untreated controls, we constructed a computational pipeline for discovering the genes and pathways involved in the mechanism.
Outcome
The development team understood how the drug alters the epigenome of the cancer cells. The customer was able to convince buyers of its potential for clinical investigations.
