PLANT GENE EXPRESSION STUDY

Problem

The Department of Molecular Plant Biology at the University of Turku was studying the transcriptome-wide effects of genetic modification in Arabidopsis thaliana. Time-series RNA-sequencing experiments had been conducted using different plant lines and the researcher needed to know the effects of the genetic modifications over time.

Solution

We identified several systemic effects in gene expression and pathway activity levels linked to the induction of expression of a gene of interest.

Outcome

With the help of our team, the researchers received expert advice on how to analyze the data and analysis results that could easily be taken into experimental validation.
